This is not my first post. I’ve blogged since 2007. It started out as blogging for reading collectibles. Then a diary/journal where I should have poured my heart out, harping about my life but it didn’t quite end like that since I’m basically a slave of grammar, and edits. I’m not as gutsy spilling out my inner thoughts, and I have a love and hate relationship with inconsistencies. I’ve done a lot more drafts than I can count.
Then eventually, my blog became my income (sort of). As my page rank increased, my advertisers went up. And when my page rank went back to zero, so did my income. It was frustrating that the ebb and flow of my blog posts were in parallel with what I can gain. The motivation to blog became nil. In the end, I had more blogs that I don’t care about, and I wrote less, and less.
But then again, in the flow of life, I want to start anew. Delete the endless niche blogs which I stopped updating, and post more of the things I care to share. This would be a challenge considering I still have posts that I do like to keep (which I’ll be re-posting here), and say goodbye to the blogs that, at some time in my life, gave me purpose and income.
So, hello world…here I go again! (June 26, 2015)
The above was my first post on ReadWriteSnap, and revising for Blogging 101.
In today’s assignment, I reiterate my intention for blogging as an access to my reading collectibles, writing and posting my hard copy recipes that I can access wherever I am. Then I shifted into sharing my thoughts and my poems, which was very hard for me, since I did posted some poems, and deleted them. I’m still uncomfortable in doing public journals.
Nevertheless, I am better prepared this time. My mind focused on writing about book reviews, blogging about my whirling thoughts, and most especially, showcasing my photographs. I promise myself to follow through the years, with this specific blog. So, Hello World!
